George asks…
How do I reboot my tethered ipad?
Ok so I recently jailbroke my ipad 4.2.1 using redsnow and I got Cydia running and everything using tethered reboot. But when I try to install SBSettings it says I have to reboot my device, i want to know how to reboot my device when its on using redsnow
admin answers:
Connect your iPad to your computer
if iTunes comes up, close it
Select reboot device on your iPad
The Apple logo should come up
Do exactly what you did when you were jailbreaking, except this time you want to check off the tethered reboot option
Enjoy.

Should I Jailbreak my ipad on OS 4.2 (for tethered support only)?
Should I Jailbreak my ipad on OS 4.2 (for tethered support only
or
should I roll back to the old version 3.1 etc and then Jailbreak (which will give me untethered support)
or
should I wait till the untethered Jailbreak for ipad 4.2 is available??
Please answer...
admin answers:
You can jailbreak 4.2, instructions here:
www.idevicenews.co.uk/readmore-19.html
or
www.idevicenews.co.uk/redsnow4.2.pdf
It is tethered though so if you can roll back then i would do that for the time being until a new jailbreak is released, it is expected soon.
Check this site for the latest updates on jailbreaking and unlocks. It also gives you everything you need including jailbreaks, unlocks, installous, firmwares etc etc
Hope that helps.
