Wireless internet problems?
In our house we have a desktop computer with a "2WIRE 2701HG" modem/router connected to it. We have had it for a while now without problems. We rarely get on the desktop because we have 2 laptops, an iPad, and 2 iPhones connected to it. When on the internet it cuts out A LOT and gets very frustrating. i.e. Watching a video. You have to wait 20 minutes for it to load so you can watch it.
Any solutions besides calling Windstream? They are NO HELP.

Well if you have so many things connected to your router it slows it down. So thats making your internet speed slow down because the router has to distribute the internet equally. A few solutions are pay a little more for faster internet or you can have less things connected at one time.

Did you try windows network diagnostics for the windows 7 laptop. Case sometimes that can identify the problem. I had the same problem once and i got it fixed by calling my internet provider and they came and fixed it.

Windows Vista problem, please help!?
we've recently set up a password for our wireless network, my dad's laptop connects, our phones connect, even the ipod and ipad connect. All but my laptop.
Here's what I do:
1) I click on that network icon to view the "available networks".
2) click on the name of our network
3) type in the password, enter
and then I get this stupid message:
"Connected to [network's name]. Waiting for devices to connect."
What on earth am I supposed to do with that?
the sad part is, my laptop connects to internet anywhere else but home.
Ha ha ha very funny. running away from the problem rather than attacking it.
If you're going to answer "install Windows 7", please save yourself the trouble.
Already tried all sorts of refreshing and restarting and resetting and whatnot, more than 50X
Didn't help....
I have tried trouble-shooting as well. It says "windows did not find any problems.."

"3) type in the password, enter"
Do NOT use the Router's Log-in Password, use the WPA (WiFi) Password, it should be totally different than Router's Log-in Password. Look it up in the Router's WiFi settings.
Or, have your Dad (the Router Admin?) find it for you.
