Questions About Ipad 2 Ram

Donald asks…

Can you install ram or harddrive space on an ipad?

and how much ram does ipad have compared to ipad 2

admin answers:

No, you can not install RAM or HDD space on your iPad. I know the 1st gen has 256MB of RAM, and i believe the 2nd gen has 512MB, but we wont know for sure until iFixIt or someone else tears it apart.

Laura asks…

White, 350g 4G Ram Macbook or iPad 2?

I watch a lot of movies, etc. I also download torrents and stuff, so I think a Macbook would be better but I love all the apps available for the iPad and it's so portable and nice.. plus it's not over 1000 dollars. I also have lots of music, 19g's on my iTunes and I have lots of movies and I watch/download Bleach too (a lot of episodes..) I burn the episodes off onto DVD's too. So, I think it might be a better choice to get a normal Macbook but for these uses (downloading torrents, maybe even some gaming) will a Macbook have a good performance. For the price I'm paying I want this laptop to last me anywhere from 5-8 years. Any ideas? Suggestions, I'm open for anything. Would a 13'inch macbook pro be better for these uses? How much better if so?

admin answers:

Ideally I'd say that the iPad 2 would only work as an extension of the MacBook. I think it was basically made for that purpose.

And yes, a 13" MB Pro is enough machine for gaming and even video editing too. You might want to go 15" for the extra processing power if you decide to do more hardcore gaming later on

George asks…

should i trade iPad 2 for Macbook Late 2009?

Should I trade my 16gb wifi iPad 2 for a late 2009 macbook. features 2.26ghz and 2gb of ram. my intention is to trade up so i could sell. is this worth it on my end

admin answers:

I don't think that trading away an iPad2 for an '09 MacBook is a trade up.

I doubt you'd get more money for the MacBook than you would for the iPad2.

Helen asks…

Macbook Pro 2011, or iPad 2?

I heard they were coming out with an iPad 2 next march and a new macbook pro sometime in 2011. Any recommendations? I am thinking macbook pro 15 inch with 8gb ram 256 gb ssd and the high res antiglare screen. I don't know yet but I just want to know your opinions. Also I already have an iPhone 4 32 gb if that changes anything thanks!

admin answers:

Definitely macbook pro 15 inch if you are planning to do hardcore stuff on it. The ipad would be good if you simply want something to take with you all of the time, not if you want to do a lot on it. Price will be completely different too...
