IPad 2 reviews/pros and cons?

I'm gonna buy an ipad December 15th and i want to know your opinion on the ipad 2.. I'm only 13 so I will use it for school too. So was the ipad worth the buy?

Well, I will start by saying that I invested in an iPad shortly after the 4th of July and, since then, it has been the BEST investment that I have ever made! :) I use it for everything now; school, work, to-do lists, alarm clock, everything! It is such an amazing piece of technology and I can think of absolutely no reason why I would not recommend it to someone. Don't miss interpret that, though, as their aren't some things I disagree with on the iPad. Though some things are to love, there are a few sucky things.

Cons:
- Does not support Adobe Flash Player! This means that you can not play internet and facebook games on your iP ad as well as being unable to watch a few selected videos on private websites. Some sites also run completely on Adobe Flash, so those sites will also be unable to be viewed. In my experience, though, I have only run into one website that I could not view, but over 40+ videos I could not view. Who knows though. This may not be an issue for you.

- The back part of the iP ad scratches easy. Keep it in a strong case that protects the back and corners and it will remain in perfect condition.


Pros:
- Amazing for school work! I use it in a bunch of my classes and am able to type up essays and make PowerPoint's and do so many other amazing things with it! You should know that, though tons of apps are free, writing apps like Pages (that's what I use) do cost money. There are thousands of free apps though, so don't be worried. If you want to get something but don't want to pay, you can often find a similar free version.

- Great thing for trips! I brought it with me on a trip to Europe recently and I used it for everything! I have movies downloaded on there so I was able to watch videos while traveling, take pictures of scenery, keep my family up to date via facebook, and play a ton of games. I don't know what I would have done without my iPad on this trip!


Overall, is it worth the buy? YES! It is the absolute best thing that I have ever spent my money on! One thing I will suggest is to upgrade to a 32gb or 64gb! My friend, who has a 32gb, kept telling me that a 16gb would be to small but I ignored him. He was so right! I only have 2gb left on mine and, the fuller it gets, the slower it moves. It really doesn't move slow, but it needs to be rebooted more often. Definately pay the additional $100 to upgrade. You will be grateful you did!

If i were you i wouldn't
its an iPad, i wouldnt take my chances of breaking it!
Jailbreaking your iPad means that if anything ever went wrong with it, Apple would refuse to fix it because it has been jailbroke. A possibilty is that it infact could break your iPad.
But if you realllllly want to heres your answers :
you have to download cydia
already stated cons, pros would prob just be getting most things free

3.using apps from the rich AppStore
4.checking mail, stocks, weather..

Cons
No dual core processor. It's operating system is not for tablets. Therefore, it looks like a huge iPod touch..
I think you should wait for iPad 3. It is expected to come in September 2011. It may have a proper OS which will give it the power that such a piece of hardware deserves.

New Macbook Pro or Ipad 2?

Heading off to college in the fall and in need of a computer. Wondering what would be best for the courses of a pre-pharmacy student. One of the new 15-inch Macbook Pro's or an Ipad 2? Pros and Cons? I'd like something I can watch movies on, not a big gamer, listen to music a lot, this and that stuff.

Mac Book Pro is by far a better choice to make than an ipad. An ipad has limited capabilities and even if people buy them they sooner or later discover that they also need a laptop. So just buy a Mac Book Pro and you will never regret. But you really have to prepare yourself financially; these laptops are rather expensive but very, very good indeed. With a Mac book you will enjoy it very much. Its a master piece to say the least. You will enjoy all that you have listed and even more than that. Good luck.
